Importance of a Strong Military and ISO’s HMMWV Parts

While writing this post, I could not help but get amazed hmmwv parts being sold at one of the largest suppliers for military sustainment, the ISO Group. And then my mind was somewhat tickled by the idea of thinking of writing a short article about the importance of a strong military in a country which is the entry you are reading now. A strong military foundation is a key to the preservation of internal peace and an instrument to keep external forces at bay. The military as a distinct group of professionals need not only sufficient training but also equipment to enable them to meet the requirements of their job. The country has been beleaguered by many problems particularly in the areas of political stability, threat to democratic institution and criminality. The long drawn insurgency problem and threat of destabilization of the legitimate government are reasons enough to make the government reconsider its policy on modernizing the Armed Forces.
The military is regarded as the guardian of the nation’s safety against any threat to its existence, whether from within or from without. The strength of the armed forces, apart from the fact that it stems from the people, is also founded on good military facilities. The government should therefore take a second look to the present state of its facilities. It must purchased additional gadgets and equipment needed by the soldiers, more guns and high calibre weapons. There must also be new acquisitions of spare parts and supplies for military sustainment. Purchase of spare equipments like hmmwv parts may be considered. “We find that the Romans owed the conquest of the world to no other cause than continual military training, exact observance of discipline in their camps, and unwearied cultivation of other arts of war. Without these, what chance would the Roman armies, with their inconsiderable numbers, have had against their enemies?” These words, were set down by the military writer, Vegetius to show how closely meticulous Romans are in their approach to war. If we can act like the Romans, why shouldn’t we?
